Conviction is very very important because you are alone in reality, you are alone in life and it is a beautiful place to be if you make peace with yourself. If you have a good relationship with yourself theres so much to find. We have so many possibilities. We actually don’t spend enough time with ourselves. And many times we fall into the trap to do things so that other people have a perception of who we are.
When you do things with conviction even failure is very bearable. We’re all afraid of failure but if you fail trying to impress someone else or do it for others then it’s terrible, the failure. It wasn’t even really maybe what you wanted to do! But when you fail with conviction, it’s bearable. And at the end of the day you can lie and BS your way through life but… you’re going to end up alone one way or another. We have to make peace with this.
You can have a lot of love but the mystery of life, to me, is the relationship with you and you. As long as you need the others to feel comfortable, you will always suffer from anxiety. And conviction is that place where even if you make a mistake, you are at peace WHILE you make that mistake. And mistakes sometimes are the greatest gifts.”

Appreciation occurs when we begin to realize what we have been gifted with, and loving kindness reconnects us to others in a win-win attitude. We start to focus on positive thoughts and perceptions and, for a while, we let go of our fearful and anxious brain pattern. In fact, every action we engage in can become a daily meditation, a slowing-down and an appreciation of life. It seems so simple, in some ways, that it’s almost embarrassing to study it.
We need only remember when we were children who gazed at the sky and the drifting clouds. There was no notion of time nor any guilt for ‘wasting’ it. Time and guilt are concepts we learn about much later in life.”

I think we need to get away from this model of success porn. That success is sexy and perfect! It’s an image of success that men have put on us, in a way. It can’t be that the only way that you can show up to a professional situation is if you spend four hours getting ready that morning. Men don’t have to do that! That is not equality. That you have to pay $300 for a glam squad to get you suitable for public consumption is garbage! And we have to get away from it.”

“Let it go, let it leave, let it happen. Nothing in this world was promised or belonged to you anyway.”

If you believe yourself unfortunate
because you have loved and lost,
perish the thought.
One who has truly loved can never lose entirely.
Love is whimsical & temperamental.
Its nature is ephemeral & transitory
It comes when it pleases and goes away
Accept and enjoy it while it remains,
but spend no time worrying about its
Worry will never bring it back.

“People get scared when you try to do something, especially when it looks like you’re succeeding. People do not get scared when you’re failing. It calms them.
… but when you’re winning it makes them feel like they’re losing, or worse yet, that maybe they should’ve tried to something too but now it’s too late. And since they didn’t, they want to stop you.
You can’t let them.”
